NEW DELHI — Church in India�s capital, New Delhi, has announced plans to make the first of its many books available on its website as a way to boost the visibility of its traditional and non-traditional publishing activities.
Church in the capital, which has a population of almost 1.2 billion people, will launch a new digital bookshop at the end of the month, which will offer its publications to all Indian customers.
The website will offer a catalogue of the books and the book publishers.
The website will also have an app for those who wish to buy books through the app.
The company, which is part of the publishing house, Gospel Publishing House, said it was the first company in the country to make this kind of bookshop accessible to all.
The bookshop is the latest step by the company, a subsidiary of the global publishing house Gannett, in an effort to bring more books to the market.
The company also said it had plans to expand into other sectors such as travel and travel products.
The Church in the Capital has been an important part of India�ll traditional publishing industries for centuries.
The church is the biggest source of revenue for the traditional publishing industry, accounting for about 50 percent of all revenue for books in the world, according to the World Book Publishing Association.
