In the spirit of the holidays, ESPN has teamed up with soul publishing company Hazeldens publishing to create a creative writing team that includes the likes of the legendary David Bowie, the late Joni Mitchell, James Taylor and more.
Hazeldeens publishing is best known for publishing “The Best of James Taylor,” but it has also produced the works of Jim Morrison, John Lennon, Robert Plant, Frank Sinatra, Prince, Mariah Carey, Michael Jackson and many more.
To help celebrate the upcoming year, the magazine has also enlisted a team of former writers, including Mark Haddon, John Green, J.R.
R Tolkein and David Foster Wallace.
The team will write about all things hip-hop and pop culture, including music, books, movies, TV and TV series.
Haseldens is also known for creating a hip-ster-friendly roster of writers, like Mark Sisson, Matt Lauer and Alex Obert.
“We believe that the best and brightest in the industry will have a strong voice and influence, and that the world of pop culture is one that must be expanded to embrace and celebrate all things pop culture,” Hazeldaens managing editor and CEO, Jessica Meehan said in a statement.
“We want to give every talented writer the chance to tell stories about their passion and passion to the world.”
