Free spirit publishing publisher Nate Doss and former NFL quarterback and current CBS Sports analyst Nate Dix will help guide the Dolphins as they begin their free-agency search.
The former NFLer, who has a background in marketing and sales, is known for his bold and sometimes surprising pronouncements, including those about free agency.
He’s also an NFL analyst and former writer for CBS Sports.
Doss has been a long-time friend of Dix’s.
They’ve been friends since the two were in college together at Michigan State.
The Dolphins’ top priority is keeping Doss on board, but he has also indicated that he is interested in joining a different team.
Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland, however, will be able to do that through the waiver wire, which is set to open Tuesday.
The NFL is also releasing its list of players eligible to sign contracts, with wide receiver Ryan Tannehill, defensive end Charles Harris, wide receiver Kenny Stills, linebacker Jordan Tripp and offensive tackle Brad Meester among those who have made the list.
