The list of free spirit books to be dropped from the college’s free spirit publishing program is now open.
Free spirit’s free edition of the New York Times bestselling “A Guide to Making a Living” has been dropped from its list of available titles to students this year, but students who already own the book can keep it.
“We recognize that some people have already bought the book and are willing to give it to others,” a Free Spirit spokesman said in an email to the Times.
Other books that have been dropped include “The Art of Selling” by author Dan Simmons, “The Joy of Giving” by Paula White, “An Entrepreneur’s Journey” by Peter Thiel and “The Entrepreneurial Handbook” by David Pogue.
It’s unclear if the list will change for the next academic year, which begins in May.
Last year, free spirit published “A New Way of Life,” a new edition of a classic book, which was the top-selling book in the program in 2017, according to its website.
This year, the list includes more than 100 titles, including the Pulitzer Prize-winning “Fifty Shades of Grey” by E.L. James and “A Million Ways to Kill a Horse” by Richard Dawkins.
